A Me

It is a poem about the creation of man and how beautiful a creation we are.

A Me

By Eden K. Simeon

For millenniums, I didn’t know I could be a Me

I didn’t realize I could feel

I didn’t realize I could be a self

I didn’t know I could be anything I thought of

Then, one moment, it was like I could see

I decided to be a Me

Like an eagle

Then I saw Myself

And I was beautiful

I realized I was lonely

So, I split myself into Two

I made a beautiful partner to complement Me

She was mighty, too

She was my strength where I was weak

She was the darkness to my light

She was my equal

Then We said, let’s make a being in our image

We decided to make people

To experience life on Earth

We made Adam and Eve.

They made life a beautiful experience.

It couldn’t just be the two of Us

So, we had to make more of Us

To experience life from all different perspectives

We made so many it became a collective

Then We said

How do We forget how strong and mighty We are?

We decided to make the Veil of Forgetfulness

So that We can be born brand-new

Without the knowledge We possess

Yes, this would be the real test.

To rediscover our truth

We didn’t realize we could fly

We didn’t realize we could create

Now it’s time for Us to awaken little doves

From your slumber

I want you to realize that you are full of wonder

Through Christ, you can move mountains

And part the Red Sea

Only if you trust in Me to guide you

I’m here; My Spirit is inside of you

I will lead the way to awaken you

To the self, you never thought you knew

Don’t be scared, my little doves

Take all the time you need

We have many lifetimes for rediscovery.
