To balance vata, it is essential to create a routine and stick to it. To assist with balancing, you can include regular mealtimes, going to bed and waking up at the same time each day, and incorporating grounding practices such as *yoga and meditation. Consuming warm, nourishing foods and avoiding cold and raw foods is also beneficial.
Kapha Dosha: The Earth and Water Element
*Kapha is associated with the elements of earth and water. It governs our stability, strength, and structure. When kapha is balanced, we have a strong immune system, good endurance, and a calm and steady mind. However, an excess of kapha can lead to symptoms such as weight gain, lethargy, congestion, and depression.
To balance kapha, it is crucial to incorporate stimulating and energizing practices into our daily routine. This can include regular exercise, especially activities that raise the heart rate and promote sweating. It is also beneficial to consume light and warm foods and avoid heavy and oily foods.
